Your first sightseeing would be the visit to Dechenphodrang Monastery in Thimphu city. Dechenphodrang Monastery is a monastic school that houses more than 200 young monks. Later in the evening, you may visit the Tashichho Dzong, a beautiful fortress built in the 17th century. It also holds the Throne Room for the king of Bhutan.
Overnight in Thimphu
Visit the memorial Chorten (stupa) followed by a visit to the magnificent Buddha Dordenma statue. You may also visit Changangkha Lhakhang, a 12th-century Bhutanese temple perched like a fortress on a ridge above central Thimphu. It hums with pilgrim activity throughout the year.
You may visit the Folk Heritage Museum, the oldest historical place in Bhutan. It is dedicated to connecting people to the Bhutanese rural past through exhibits, demonstrations, educational programs, and documentation of rural life. The Museum is more than 150 years old. You may check out the craft market for souvenirs.
Overnight in Thimphu
Drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass marked by 108 stupas.
After lunch visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, the longest suspension bridge in the country, and the Buddhist nunnery center.

On the way you will stop by Chimi Lhakhang famously known as the Temple of fertility which was built in the 15th century by the ‘Divine Madman’ (Lama Drukpa Kuenley). It has become a popular tourist destination with visitors coming in from all across the world to witness the unusual traditional and cultural ceremonies performed here. It is famous throughout Bhutan as a place which induces fertility for all the visitors who come here wishing for a child.
While in Paro if you are not tired you may visit 7th-century Kyichu Lhakhang, a temple of historical significance and one of the most sacred shrines in Bhutan.
In the evening you can stroll around Paro town and buy souvenirs.
Overnight in Paro
No visit to Bhutan is complete without visiting Tigers Nest Monastery. The Tiger’s Nest or the Taktsang is one of the most popular spiritual heritage sites,
perched precariously on the rock face of a sheer cliff 900m above the valley. Although it may be a little difficult trek you don’t need to be an experienced
mountaineer to complete the trek to Bhutan’s most famous landmark. A little preparation and a fair dose of perseverance is all that’s required. With a total distance
of 6.4Km (3 to 5Hr trek) depending on your pace, the trek offers mesmerizing views of the valley. Shopping in the evening
